My Body, My Rules

Having realized and appreciated the dire need by adolescent girls and young women to take full charge of their reproductive health, Msichana Uganda through its “My BodyMy Rules” campaign, seeks to reach out to young women in institutions of higher learning through open health camps that will answer all questions related to sexual and reproductive health, and also provide such services as contraception and cervical cancer screening.

Triggering active involvement of men in Family Planning

Family planning is a popular phenomenon among women; the literate and illiterate, rural and urban.  However, many women however empowered they may be, do not get the necessary support from their spouses, and they end up bearing children that they can hardly take care of. Some women actually receive intimidation and threats from their partners, who pester them to have more children, most times against their own wish.

Championing the fight against Gender Based Violence

World over, women have been a target of different forms of violence over the years. Ranging from domestic violence inflicted on them by their spouses, to sexual harassment that they suffer at school and their workplaces.
